On the 18th June the Regiment paraded at the Castleford Tigers ground for Forces Day. Sponsored by the MOD. We worked to entertain the public alongside current serving soldiers raising money for SSAFA, Help for Heroes and the Jamie Backhouse Trust. 9th-10th July the Regiment paraded at the Crich Edwardian weekend. For this weekend the Tramways museum turned back the clock to the earliest years of the 20th century and the 3rd was present along with supporters and friends in Edwardian dress. 13th-14th August we displayed an "Expedition Encampment" at Erdigg Hall near Wrexham as part of their annual Victorian Weekend. (Flyer can be downloaded on the right.) We were joined by more of the UK steampunk community in what transpired to be a splendid weekend.
10th-11th September the Regiment will be represented at "Weekend at The Asylum" the UK Steampunk Festival. Saturday will see a workshop for members and interested others followed by a special parade on Sunday. (Click on the logo to the right to go to the Asylum website.)
March 2nd-4th 2012: Carry On Up The Khyber. The second annual Commemorative march and Parade at Watkin Path was a great success. We look forward to returning to Beddgelert in 2013. |
